2021 South Dakota District Convention
The 62nd Convention of The South Dakota District will be held December 5-7, 2021 at the Sioux Falls Convention Center, Sioux Falls, SD. The convention theme is: “Rooted in Christ, Abounding in Thanksgiving” based on Colossians 2:6-7. The essayist will be Rev. Michael Newman, President, Texas District LCMS.

2018 South Dakota District Convention
The 61st Convention of The South Dakota District was held April 19-21, 2018 at the Sioux Falls Convention Center, Sioux Falls, SD. The convention theme was: “Behold Your God! What Help! What Hope!” based on Isaiah 40:9. The essayist/Bible study leader was Rev. Dr. Reed Lessing, Senior Pastor, St. Michael Lutheran Church, Ft. Wayne, IN. His essay/Bible study focused on Isaiah 40-55 and proclaimed the help and hope that the world has because God, in Jesus Christ, has redeemed the world from sin and death. The convention’s opening Divine Worship service took place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 2200 South Western Avenue, Sioux Falls, SD.

For any delegate or guest that requires a hotel room, District has negotiated a group room rate with two hotels near the SF Convention Center; Sheraton Sioux Falls and Ramada Inn & Suites.
The Sheraton Hotel, 1211 West Avenue North, Sioux Falls, SD 57104 is adjacent to the SF Convention Center and has a group room rate of $116 plus taxes. Sheraton Hotel prefers that guests register online through this link to get the special room rate. You may call or email Adam Poeppel to reserve a room; (605) 367-9695 adam.poeppel@sheratonsiouxfalls.com. To receive the group room rate, reservation must be completed by March 20, 2018.
The Ramada Inn & Suites, 1301 W. Russell St., Sioux Falls, SD 57104 is located across the street east of the SF Convention Center and has a group room rate of $92 plus taxes for Wednesday or Thursday night and $121 plus taxes for Friday or Saturday nights. Ramada Inn prefers that guests register online through this link to get the special room rate. You may call (605) 336-1020 to reserve a room giving them the Group Room Rate code of CGLUTS. To receive the group room rate, reservation must be completed by March 18, 2018.
